At the moment I am a German/English/Japanese freelance translator for several translation companies in Tokyo. Those companies focus mainly on video game translations and localizations of consumer electronics. During my time as a translator I had the opportunity to translate whole games (mainly Nintendo DS and Wii-Games) for companies like Hudson Soft, Konami and worked on localization projects concerning SCEE's "PSP" as well. I was also involved in theGerman synchronisation of Capcom's new Gyakuten Saiban title and a number of other dubbing projects. I therefore could learn a lot about the processes of localizing a product or title into the German language. I gained a lot of experience concerning contemporary translations with natural expressions and creative sentence constructions and got used to work under strict limitations of time and character space.
