Born and raised in Poland,
I graduated from the Gdansk University of Technology with a master’s degree in mechanics, specialization in power engineering and fluid control and drive (post-graduate course).
Then I worked as a mechanical engineer for nearly 30 years. So I have long-standing professional experience in supervision of mechanical assembly, engineering design, production start-up and maintenance, gained in Poland and abroad (e.g. during construction of the Pumped-storage and Nuclear Power Plants Żarnowiec and the Wafa Desert Plant in Lybia).
Through a predilection for learning foreign languages, parallel to my engineering work, I began also to work as a translator which is now my fundamental job. I have completed many different foreign language courses and have been certified as a technical translator by the Polish Federation of Engineering Associations in English and German.
Now I am running my own translation business under the name of Jachna International.
