Understanding cultural differences makes translation more precise.
English and Danish are both my native languages. I was born in the United States with Danish parents, and lived there until my 20th year. I have lived in Denmark for 30 years.
In addition to my permanent job as a music therapist, I have done freelance translation and proofreading for the last 10 years; educational websites, articles, chapters in books and project proposals/reports, as well a book on music therapy assessment. My main areas of expertise are education/pedagogy, psychology, music therapy and musicology.
I have two university degrees (music therapy and musicology), and have written theses in both English and Danish, as well as articles, chapters in books and project evaluations. |
