I was born in Aracaju, a cosy little town in Brazil, where I spent most of my life, and graduated in Law (OAB-SE Nr. 5340) and also in English Language . I started my professional career as a trainee in the State Attorney's Office, evolving to Legal Assistant, and finally I received a promotion to become an Intelligence Analyst in the Intelligence department. Immediately after obtaining my certification to practice Law in Brazil, I was selected by the University of Westminster in London to do a Masters in International Relations and European Politics, for which I finished with Merit.
Languages has always been a passion of mine, I have always dedicated a considerable amount of my time to doing freelance and independent translating and subtitling from English to Brazilian Portuguese and vice-versa, as well as acquiring several Advanced English certificates from studies in the UK.
My commitment is to offering top quality translation services and I do not accept anything less than perfection on everything I do.
Over the years I have acquired a Professional English Language Certificate from Yazigi Institute in Brazil, Advanced English certificates granted by The International House London, Malvern House London and Oxford House College. I have been living in the UK for nearly 4 years, and I'm engaged to be married to a British citizen. I have been running a blog written in english with over 120,000 views per moth for nearly 2 years. The blog is called Le Beauty Girl (lebeautygirl.com) and is mainly about beauty, fashion and lifestyle. Both my theoretical and practical backgrounds certainly add up to my excellence in comprehending the English language to a professional level.
My 13 years of independent translation background, added to my daily relationship with the English language living in the UK, definitely give me an edge in comparison to other professionals in the area.
I am confident that I am able to offer a service with the quality level required by my Clients due to my close familiarity with Brazilian Portuguese as a native speaker, my qualifications achieved in English and my current life in the UK as part of a native British family. |
