What Erika Cosenza is working on
Jan 21 (posted via  I'm in between projects right now, so I took the time to translate a short story by Ursula K. Le Guin, just for the sake of it. That's what happens when your job is also your passion. ...more, + 10 other entries »

Professional practices Erika Cosenza endorses's Professional Guidelines.

For almost 20 years I have been freelancing as a translator & interpreter with two pairs of languages (English, Italian>Spanish) and as a proofreader and editor. Besides, I have worked as a lexicographer developing Spanish dictionaries for a well-known Argentinean publishing house. A member of two professional associations (IAPTI and PLECA), I also teach a literary translation workshop at a local bookshop. In addition, I have also worked as a TV host and a journalist.

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, from Italian parents, I'm kind of a rare breed: a language-loving bookworm who also loves sports. A bookish four-eyes who also swims and runs—a runnerd (a nickname that for some reason I really enjoy).

When I don't translate for work, I also translate for fun. Check out my blog:
