I have been translating from Spanish and Catalan into English for just about 20 years. Having lived and worked in Mexico and Spain for about three decades, I have a pretty solid grasp of these countries’ business, institutional and cultural nuances and can thus convey them accurately and naturally in my translations. I am also used to using both US and UK varieties of English.
I have ample experience translating documents and other materials used in the fields of insurance, civil law, medicine/pharma, higher education and general business. Large projects have included corporate magazines, annual reports, complete websites and research studies for publication in international journals. Small to medium-sized jobs have included contracts, medical/pharmaceutical reports and advertisements. More recently, I have been correcting the work of other translators, particularly in the medical/pharmaceutical sector.
I have also worked as an ESL textbook and multimedia materials writer and as a professional journalist.
