Ever since I was a child, I knew that I wanted to work with
language. The natural conclusion for me was to study English and French
to become a teacher. However, I quickly realized that a job as a teacher
would not suit my desire for independent work. So, in parallel to my
studies, I became a qualified translator. After completing my
traineeship as a teacher, I initially worked in a large international
food service company in France in charge of software localization and
the translation of project documents in the IT department, before
becoming a freelance translator and interpreter in Paris a few years
later.
Nevertheless, I didn't give up teaching
completely. Between 2010 and 2015, for example, I regularly organized
business German courses in French companies.
As a hobby, I translated 5 novels by French authors into German and self-published them in Germany.
In
my free time, I love traveling and getting to know other cultures.
Apart from that, I like to work creatively: one of my biggest hobbies is
tailoring clothes. Music also plays a big role in my free time: among
other activities, I play the violin in a Latin American music group.
