I'm a native Norwegian living in Botswana, where I work part-time as a history teacher at a private English medium high-school, and part time as translator. My wife work here as a medical doctor.

Previously, I have taught Norwegian language and literature at Norwegian secondary schools for 15 years. I have a Cand. Phil. degree (7 years) from Bergen University in the subjects Norwegian language and Literature, History and Comparative Religion.
I'm a relatively new and not very experienced translator, but very enthusiastic, and with a long experience in working with language, both Norwegian and English.

I have a wide range of interests in other areas and read as extensively as possible about these (including where possible texts in my specialist languages). These include:
biology, chess, medicine, environmental issues, geography, African issues, mathematics.

I take particular pride in the production of accurate and correct Norwegian and always, if necessary, contact the client to discuss any issues arising from a text.

I have a solid university background, and I'm used to set very high standards on my work.
