A deposit of €200 is required for bookings made more than 4 weeks before the course is due to start. The remainder of the course and accommodation fees is due no later than 4 weeks before the start of the course.
If the remainder of the fees is not received 4 weeks before the course is due to start, the school may cancel the course (and accommodation) booked. The deposit is non-refundable and the cancellation fees given below apply.
Full payment is required at the time of booking for reservations made less than 4 weeks before the course is due to start.
We retain the right to change our prices. However, no change will be made to the price of a course or accommodation once full payment has been received from a student.
The student is responsible for ensuring that payment is received in full by the school, without bank charges having to be paid by the school.

***** has become the first European shrink sleeve manufacturer to include a film made from renewable resources among its range of products. The company is currently running a series of trials with leading customers using PLA shrink film.
PLA (polylactic acid) is a biodegradable polymer derived from corn, which provides an annually renewable and 100% compostable alternative to traditional petroleum-based products. As it is not oil-based, it also offers greater price stability. A number of high profile containers are already being produced in PLA, thereby offering the brand owner a mono polymer packaging solution.
The PLA Shrink Film has a further environmental benefit in shrink applications as shrinkage can be achieved at lower temperatures, thus requiring less energy consumption. Lower shrinkage temperatures can also help to reduce the size of tunnels and increase throughput.
The film has been specially formulated for the needs of shrink sleeves. In particular, it is preferentially oriented to provide high shrinkage in the transverse direction, ideal for the decoration of a wide variety of bottle and container shapes. It is also suitable for unprinted sleeves and tamper evident applications.

Why does Windows forget your autoplay settings?
Well, it doesn't; it's just double-checking with you.
There were two problems with the way Windows XP handled CD autoplay.
First, many users found that after installing a program that supported CD autoplay, they didn't know how to make that program their new default CD autoplay program.
If they had previously selected a program and ticked "Always perform this action," there was no easily discoverable way to undo the always flag to cause the CD autoplay dialog to reappear and give the user an opportunity to select the new program as the default.
Second, certain poorly behaved programs, upon installation, secretly hacked the undocumented CD autoplay settings in order to set themselves as the default CD autoplay handler-thus, overriding the user's choice.
Simply put, for users the two problems were:
"I just installed this program and I want it to be my CD autoplay program," and its converse "I just installed this program and I don't want it to be the CD autoplay program."

I have worked as a freelance translator for 12 years and established positive relationships with various companies, including some specialized in translation into French.
My project managers have always been pleased with my work for punctuality and attention to details. I make sure that spelling and grammar are accurate by using the spelling and grammar checker and giving a final review and even make sure that punctuation is correct (for exemple, bent apostrophes in French, unless instructed otherwise). I also consistently use the QA checking facility on Trados to make sure that all figures and dates have been correctly localized and converted, if need be.
I value feedback from project managers and whenever I receive any, I amend my translation files (and TMs) accordingly, and make sure never to make the same mistake again. I also actively use MultiTerm, to make sure not only that a certain term is translated as requested, but also that no prohibited term is used (for example, an Anglicism for which there is a better alternative).
In the rare event when I am unsure about a term, acronym or phrase, I always ask the project manager for confirmation.
I understand how important CAT tools are today for translation companies and their clients and use SDL Trados 2011 Studio for all my orders, unless instructed otherwise. I also have proficiency and experience in translating on TagEditor, SDLX, and Wordfast.
Finally, in the event of a technical problem after delivering a file to a client, I always try to respond to them and help solve the problem as soon as possible for a timely delivery.
