Even though I am a Native American, my family is French-American. I am also a Registered Nurse certified in Emergency Nursing in the United States. I worked as a Surgical Assistant in the Operating Room in Rouen, France where I was part of a research team to develop navigational surgery. I also worked for the Chamber of Commerce for several phamaceutical companies and hospitals where I taught English and did medical translations which were published in various scientific journals including Urology, Orthopaedics, Gastroenterology and Immunology. I translate patents for medical devices, clinical studies, NGOs, documents for the Xunta de Galicia (Spanish government) and their website on Environmental Services, EU directives for Volatile Organic Compounds, Marketing Authorizations, EU Data Capture Sheets, documents for the Ethics Committees, AEMPS and Afssaps, as well as simultaneous translations for international conferences, including editing and proof-reading presentations. I have also translated documents for U.S. military organizations on cultural diversity and affirmative action.

I spent 17 years in France and am currently living in A Coruña, Spain where I have expanded my translations to include literature. In collaboration with the Spanish Government, I translated a book and catalog in which you can see my name among the other translators for an international exibition on the renowned author Julio Cortázar.

My rates are between 0.06 cents and 0.10 cents a word depending on the volume and/or the specialty.
