Bio
As a translator, I translate from Japanese to English and also provide an editing and proofreading service. Over the years I have translated various reports, newspaper articles, websites and narration scripts and subtitles for TV documentaries.

My focus is on marine-related information from Japan, including areas such as industry news, certifications and fisheries (MSC and ASC) and declining tuna stocks. I have worked as a translator for the MSC's Tokyo office and also write for a Japanese scuba diving website on diving and marine-related issues from outside Japan. I have recently completed an undergraduate certificate in sustainable aquaculture at the University of St Andrews and am due to begin an MSc in the same subject in September 2015.

As an interpreter, my experience includes interpreting at shows such as the Tokyo Seafood Show, and small business meetings.
