Having resided in Italy for 27 years I am fluent in both written and spoken Italian. My main occupation during this time has been as an ESL teacher. I have acquired 24 years of experience, teaching classes in person and on-line. I have taught ages from Pre-school to Adult, and levels Beginner through Conversation, including preparation for various Cambridge Exams.
That said, I should also add that in my spare time I have also done part-time translating for a studio in the area in which I lived in Northern Italy. Over the 14 years working for this studio I have translated technical numerous manuals for a varirty of machinery, web-sites for companies manufacturing ventilation and lighting systems, web pages for an art collection, wine and food tourism, furniture, a book about Gres tiling, contracts, publicity and many other projects, all from Italian to English. I have done some translation of material from English to Italian for a worldwide breastfeeding organization to which I belong, but that was only undertaken in collaboration with a native Italian speaker.
Since my current CV is primarily geared to my ESL teaching I am in the process of updating it to reflect translation work.
