My professional background is unique: I have worked in engineering (USA and Paraguay), human rights (Mexico), Catholic prison ministry (Mexico), and in non-profit organizations that serve the Latinx community (USA)-- always doing translation and interpretation as part of my job or on the side. I am also an amateur musician. I am currently in Oregon (USA) after 18 years in Mexico, where I published an article in a Catholic magazine. Previously I worked as interpreter for religious delegations to Mexico, and in engineering and hydrology in Paraguay and Nicaragua. I have translated technical manuals, lyrics, reports, letters, and articles. Recently I completed the translation of a 60-page labor union contract.
