I am an ATA-certified Russian to English translator and an
enthusiastic Uzbek to English translator in Seattle, Washington. My academic
background in international politics led to my career in translation. Since 2006, I have worked as a freelance translator for attorneys, academics, authors and
activists around the world. My translations of full-length novels and nonfiction work have been published by Routledge, Tilted Axis, Slavica, Syracuse University Press, and AmazonCrossing, and shorter pieces in my translation have appeared in
Critical Flame, Translation Review, Plough, Words Without Borders, anthologies of poetry and prose, and more. I am currently the
 president of the
Northwest Translators and Interpreters Society and a co-founder of the
Northwest Literary Translators.
