Translation is nothing more than a hobby for me, which does not mean, of course, that I cannot do a professional job. I have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and work as a programmer, mainly developing enterprise productivity and collaboration applications for financial and educational institutions (and currently for a major telecom). My education and interest in computers, artificial intelligence and technology are valuable in performing technical translation, while my interest and background in Jewish religion, history and tradition are a great asset in translating related materials. Russian is my native language, although I speak mostly English on day-to-day basis. I am also a "nitpicker" and can do a great job proofreading in either language, anything from teen or professional slang to computer manuals. I have been living in the US since 1993.
