I was born and raised in Bavaria, Germany. My degree is "German State Examined Translator for English and German". I earned this degree after studying at the Institute for Foreign Language and International Studies at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany. I have lived in New York City, on Cape Cod (MA) and am now living in Anchorage, Alaska. After several years of living in and traveling throughout the US, I am very familiar with cultural and geographic aspects of this country. English has become my "second native language". I have been working successfully as a freelance translator and interpreter for several years now; occasionally, I also work as a tour director for German or Spanish speaking tourists in Alaska.
