Background (1990-2000): 11 years' experience as English teacher.

Translation experience (1996-2013): over 1300 jobs involving translation from English into Portuguese and from Portuguese into English: letters, contracts, invoices, business proposals, bills of lading, user manuals, technical documentation, specifications, résumés, news, advertising, Web pages and TV scripts for translation companies and direct customers located in Brazil, USA, France, Spain, Italy, Israel, Netherlands, Germany and Turkey.

Formats handled so far include MS Word *.doc/rtf, MS Excel *.xls, PowerPoint, Web pages (with or without scripting languages), WML cards, Adobe PDF, FrameMaker, PageMaker, fax and otherwise printed material.

Material resources: PC with Windows XP and Ubuntu Linux, Microsoft Office, Trados and other translation tools, fax, broadband, Web site, FTP, jumbo size mail box.

Other qualities: fine writing skills and good creativity. I have become specialized in advertising, press releases, arts and entertainment. Good writing is what secures my repeat business.
