Biography:

I am a freelance translator with a diverse professional background. In the agriculture and livestock area, I participated in an exchange program (MAST/PART program) sponsored by the University of Minnesota - College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences (Twin Cities - MN), where I worked at the company Zacky Farms (Fresno - CA). Among other functions, I trained Hispanic-speaking employees on the company's procedures and policies. Through this exchange program, I had the opportunity to interact with students from 40 different countries.

I hold a degree in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from the University of São Paulo (USP) in Brazil and worked in the medical/pharmaceutical industry for eight years as a technical salesman for veterinary pharmaceutical products, as well as a technical assistant for poultry and swine genetics and nutrition products. I worked for Rhodia (formerly the Rhône-Poulenc Group, now Sanofi) and Bayer in Brazil, Argentina, and Ecuador.

I also worked for almost ten years in the second largest Brazilian state-owned bank CAIXA ECONÔMICA FEDERAL, where I gained experience in loans, insurance, risk analysis of projects, and promoting financial products to individual and corporate clients.

In the legal and HR area, I worked as head of an electoral registry at the Regional Electoral Court of the State of São Paulo (TRE-SP) since 2007. I was in charge of organizing and implementing the Brazilian Electronic Vote Elections, which involved training people, writing drafts of court sentences, maintaining electronic voting machines, as well as computerized systems in pristine conditions. I also elaborated complex EXCEL electronic spreadsheets, drafted court letters for civil and governmental authorities, and prepared, interpreted, and ensured compliance with contracts between Public Administration and private individuals.

Furthermore, I worked as an English teacher for four years at Fisk Schools at the beginning of my career, teaching basic, intermediate, and advanced courses. Currently, I am studying Computer Engineering at the Virtual University of the State of São Paulo (UNIVESP) in Brazil, which has expanded my skills in the IT area.

My diverse professional background has equipped me with the necessary skills to provide accurate and culturally appropriate translations in various fields. I am committed to delivering high-quality work that meets the specific needs of my clients. Please do not hesitate to contact me for further information or to discuss your translation project.

(news in Portuguese stating my current work and occupation - partial translation in English is provided below)

...According to the head of the Nova Odessa electoral registry, Rodrigo Fernandes Gonçalves, the effects of the electoral judge's decision are suspended until Bill's (the mayor) request is considered by the TRE (Regional Electoral Court), so the mayor may also take office on January 1st, since the case should only be heard after January 7th, 2017, when the judges return to work due to the end of the judicial recess...

"The Nova Odessa Electoral Registry has resumed its normal activities in a new headquarters and plans to start the biometric registration of voters next week. With the new system, it will be possible to identify voters through digital and photographic means at the time of voting. Currently, identification is done using the voter's ID and another ID document with a photo. All people with an electoral certificate issued in the city will need to go through the registration process, which has no set completion date.

Recently, the head of the Nova Odessa Electoral Registry, Rodrigo Fernandes Gonçalves, visited the office of Mayor Benjamin Bill Vieira de Souza to discuss the news. He stated that employees have been trained on the new system.

Fernandes noted that everyone with voter cards issued by zone 292 in Nova Odessa will need to re-register, but there is no need to rush. "This is a new system, but there is no mandatory deadline for it to be completed soon, as this registration process takes time," he said."

"...Approximately 11,000 voters in Nova Odessa still need to complete their biometric registration. The head of the city registry, Rodrigo Fernandes Gonçalves, estimates that 130 people should be served daily until May to meet the ideal target. The demand was low this Tuesday, with only 38 voters served.

"I advise voters to come as soon as possible. Those who do not complete the registration until May will remain irregular until the end of October," he warns...."
