Bio
I set out on my journey as a full-time professional translator in 1993 at Argon International Consultancy, based in Ankara, Turkey. I worked as a translator and consecutive interpreter in projects funded by the World Bank. During these vocational education, labour and employment projects I traveled to the USA and Germany on study tours as a translator and consecutive interpreter.

I lived and worked in Canada, Norway, Australia and Ireland along the way.

It has been a long journey, with its ups and downs, I had met with great people to work for and made many friends along the way. Like many of my colleagues I have survived through heartbreaks over lost data, unrecoverable fried hard disks, urgent deadlines.

All my student and the adult life I have been involved, in one way or another, in languages, translating, community and sports, whether it be in volunteer or professional capacity.

Currently, I am working as a freelance translator and simultaneously studying at Macquarie University, with a view to add Russian to my language portfolio in the next year and a half. Spanish is next in line.

I am a loyal and trusting person. I put 100% effort into everything I do and I care. What makes me an excellent translator is not that I (assume) to know it all, but that what I don't know, I ask; if I don't know, I make an effort to learn; I don't make the same mistake twice; I am inquisitive and curious by nature; and finally, what I know, I do well.

"A promise made is a promise kept." I strongly believe in this motto, and I try my best to keep my promises.

Life is too short so I enjoy and do the best I can with what I have.

Looking forward to continuing to work with my existing clients and meeting new clients; becoming a member of various translator teams and making new friends; facing new translation challenges, committing to new and exciting projects; and improving my skills.

I look forward to hearing from you!!!
