Bio

Juris doctor graduated in French Napoleonic Law from the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (UASD) and as well a certified interpreter/translator by the Escuela Nacional de la Judicatura (ENJ) I have over 12 years of experience in the linguistic field with a plethora of subjects translated ranging from law, culture, medical, IT and literary among others.

With over 400,000 words translated I have vast experience in legal interpretation as I just recently finished a 24,000 word job about the evolution of the period of grace in the Napoleonic French Legal System from 1804 to 2019, where I had to consult and translate for the client historical sources, jurisprudence, legal articles, contracts, laws and other legal decisions including a partial translation of a book on Napoleonic Civil Law by Monsieur Charles Demolombe published in 1869. This last part included localizing legal terminology.

Raised in a Hispanic family in the Bronx, New York, USA, I'm a native speaker of both English and Spanish and a proficient speaker of French and Italian as a foreign language.

Thanks,

Phillips Diaz-Vicioso
