CV/Resume English (DOCX)

I am a native Hungarian, born and raised in Romania. As a result I am bilingual, having learned Romanian at the same level as Romanian pupils in school, in addition to speaking Hungarian as my mother tongue. I graduated high school with the highest marks in Hungarian, Romanian, English and German.

After high school, I spent a few years volunteering on archaeological excavations in Transylvania.

During this time, due to my advanced knowledge of three languages, I was asked to translate journal articles for my colleagues at the Museum. I  translated multiple journal articles which were subsequently published in the museum annals.

Moreover, I have translated museum tags for the County Museum of Salaj from Romanian to English. The quality of the work was satisfactory for the museum curators, and as a result the translations I submitted are still on display to this day.

In 2005 I had the opportunity to study archaeology at one of the most prestigious universities in the field, the University of York. In order to be able to enroll, I completed an IELTS Certificate of Proficiency in English with an 8.5 mark out of a possible 9.

In the course of my UK university years, I was able to significantly expand on my mastery of the English language.

I am also enrolled in the UBB Faculty of Law, in Cluj-Napoca, and have significant knowledge of the Romanian and Hungarian legal jargon.

I am at the same time working as a professional translator for my regular clients, Translate India, and the Hungarian Government for tax return forms and parts of contracts.
