Born in Italy, I moved to the United World College of the Adriatic in 1986 where I completed my secondary education in English, in a challenging international environment. In 1988, I obtained the International Baccalaureate, having studied Italian, English, and French as main, higher level subjects. In 1994 I graduated in Translation at the Higher School of Modern Languages for Interpreters and Translators at the University of Trieste (Italy), with full marks and honors. My first translation from English into Italian was published in 1997. It was the translation of the book "A Tangled Tale" by Lewis Carroll. Other translations were then published in the field of international affairs. In this field I worked as a freelance for 5 years for an important international organ.
In the meanwhile, I started teaching Italian to foreigners in various universities in Italy, and abroad. My translation activity became more and more focused on poetry, and prose from Russian into Italian, but I still collaborate with various agencies translating from English in different fields, like arts, dance, archaeology, and market research.
I love writing, and translating ... especially what I feel interesting for me, and my potential readers.
