Bonjour! :-)

My name is Marie-Laure Faurite. I am a freelance translator and my language pairs are English and German into French.


I graduated with hons from a European Master's in Translation from the Université Grenoble Alpes in France. After I finished the Master's, I won the SDL Trados Top Student Award. During my formation, I acquired professionnal experience while working as a translator intern in companies based in Austria and Scotland (2 months and 6 months).

I am using SDL Trados 2019 and I have been working with MemoQ a lot.

I am now settled in France, where I work as a freelance translator, under the commercial names Tradixit and Écotraduire. I am a member of the SFT, which means that I respect the translators' deontology and only translate into my native language.


With Écotraduire, I specialise in environment and energy.

With Tradixit, I specialise in creative translation (international shows, board games, creative hobbies).
