Living at the heart of Polish industry makes it impossible not to be exposed to matters of coal and mining even during childhood. Applying this "natural" interest into my professional work has always seemed obvious, and my fruitful cooperation with official R&D mining institutions has proven it to be the right thing to do.

Nevertheless, I also have a keen eye for textual inconsistencies and a knack for the written word, which make me both a scrupulous editor and an occasional writer.
