English to Arabic: Freelancer translator Detailed field: General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters
Source text - English What's a freelance translator?
A common and widespread assumption among those who are not familiar with this job is that being a freelancer implies more freedom of movement than working as an employee. In practice, you can work "when" and "if" you decide to.
First of all, many people still do not have a clear picture of what a freelance translator is and does; when asked about my job, I simply say "I am a translator", and most of the askers reply: “What? And what does a translator do? And how can you work from home, alone, with no employer? And so on. It is often discouraging to hear questions like that, as I have to sing the same old song every time.
Translation - Arabic

Bio
I am a medical doctor, I was born to a bilingual family in Jordan (Turkish and Arabic), grew up speaking both Turkish and Arabic natively, and during my school lifetime I studied English language for 12 years, and I enjoyed reading a variety of stuff starting my childhood, in the three languages, mainly literature, poetry, science and fictions, history.
I started my medical school at the age of 19, and it was a start for me, it has taken me deeper and deeper. during my school in medical college, I started to make translations for the school newspaper, that we published electronically, and it was my start in the field of translation.
I like to learn languages and to see new cultures, and people, so later I studied the Russian language, even I don't make translations to Russian but I liked it. As a translator, I am specialized in technical and medical works, but I have inspired also in creative writings, and in literature translations, even I can say it is my favourite field.
