I am a native Portuguese speaker, resident in the UK for the best part of
the last 30 years.

My background started within the Leisure industry, moving on to web
development. I have gained extensive experience dealing with people from
multiple backgrounds and have always integrated and communicated well.

I had a career break to raise a family and currently work part-time in my
children's school as a catering assistant, where I also volunteer in the
classroom either as a teaching assistant or providing reading support.

Pursuing a career in translation/interpreting has become my next step as it
made sense to explore my strong and proficient language skills with a positive
effect.

I am currently gathering experience and training to sit the Diploma in
Translation from the Chartered Institute of Linguists, where I am also an
affiliate member.
