Hi! I'm Hannah and I'm a Spanish to English translator, and I also offer editing and proofreading. I've been working full-time as a freelance translator since January 2019, but my involvement in the world of translation goes back much further than that.

Whilst completing my Master's in Translation in 2017, I helped to organise the first-ever Translation! Festival in Exeter, a one-day event welcoming experts from all over the world. It was an inspiring and eye-opening day - check out a video of the festival here:

During my undergraduate degree, I translated a whole host of documents for a historic cultural institution in Madrid as part of an events management internship there. Since then, I've picked up a good range of experience: translating for museums in Colombia and Ecuador; press releases for campaigns on social issues; and legal correspondence and statements on workers' rights in Central America, to name just a few of my more exciting projects. Other working areas include, but are not limited to: humanities, social sciences, travel and tourism, hospitality, marketing, journalism, education, and international development.

My linguistic skills are coupled with a strong practical streak and excellent organisational skills. Having worked as a Project Manager at the RWS Group, a global leader in the translation industry, I know first-hand that clients need translators who are approachable, reliable, and quick to respond to requests and queries, on weekends and evenings too. I am keen to build trusting relationships with clients and to provide a professional, high-quality translation service.

Life has brought me to Vientiane in Laos (GMT +7) where I am currently based, and this could work to the advantage of clients who wish to work around the clock, rather than being limited to the European or US working day.

Please get in touch! I look forward to working with you!
