| Translation - English April 2005
Grand Hayat Hotel, 10:30 pm
Infront of a wedding hall , on a golden board where their names were written side ti side ((Nancy and Khaled)) , the music was so loud announcing a new man lost to love . The band moved slowly allowing the deeply bored , belly full candlestick dancers to make some moves that didn't even relate to belly dancing , out of duty rather than amusing .
The maestro was the darrabukah player , wearing a blue vest with colourful pieces hanging from the sleeves , and long curly hair covering his forehead , as opposed to the rest of the band who wore pink vests , and kept pushing the guests aside for him , while he was deeply taken in his rythm. |
