Bio

Since I was a little girl I have been in contact with different
languages and cultures either at school (French, Spanish, and English) or at
home (Ecuadorian father and Portuguese mother). This involvement with languages
increased my interest in linguistics and translation, and that is why I studied
a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied
Linguistics with a Major in Translation (English-Spanish).

After working as a freelance for a
couple of years, I worked as a Technical Translator (English-Spanish) for an
oil company. Then, I decided to explore new fields of specialization and enrolled
in a Master’s Degree in Translation (English-French) where I had the
opportunity to take classes in legal, pharmaceutical and economic translation. After
finishing the Master’s Degree, I decided to specialize in legal translation and
I have already taken a few courses in this field.
