Source text - English OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
• Open the screen on your fireplace.
• Set the Fuel Holder Box lid according to the manufacturer’s instructions supplied with your fireplace. You will find two or three empty holding containers in the Fuel Holder Box that you will pour your Sunjel™ Premium into.
• Shake Sunjel™ Premium well before use. Remove child safety cap from the bottle and pour 13 0z. or 384 ml into the holding container(s) inside the Fuel Holder Box. Do not overfill the holding containers. Each holding container filled to the top will burn for 2- 3 hours and will provide an output of 3000/BTUs/hr.
• NEVER fill the Sunjel™ holding containers outside of the Fuel Holder Box. NEVER place additional Sunjel™ holding containers free-standing into the fireplace firebox or severe personal injury may result. Air quality safety is based on only using the maximum number of holding containers that are supplied with your fireplace.
• Once you have filled the holding containers in the Fuel Holder Box, light the Sunjel™ Premium with a barbeque lighter.
• To ensure a clean burn and air quality assurance, ALWAYS keep the Fuel Holder Box lid in a complete open position. Do not leave partially open to control the flame height. Adequate air supply to the Fuel Holder Box is required for optimum burn so do not restrict this area around the Fuel Holder Box in any way. Make sure the ceramic logs are not placed directly over the flame.
• Close the mesh screen.
• To extinguish the flame, at any time, pull the decorative knob located under the steel grate towards you, if you have a grate in your fireplace, or if there is no grate in your fireplace, use the wand supplied and push on the lid of the Fuel Holder Box back until the setting lever falls, then let go of the lid. This will extinguish the flame by removing the oxygen. After a ten (10) minute cooling off period, open the Fuel Holder Box lid. This will allow remaining moisture and alcohol vapour to dissipate and will aid in keeping to the Fuel Holder Box operating smoothly.
• DO NOT relight the Sunjel™ Premium if it has just been shut down or immediately after closing the Fuel Holder Box lid. If the Sunjel™ Premium has just been extinguished and you decide to relight it - USE CAUTION – Wait ten (10) minutes, open the Fuel Holder Box lid, let alcohol vapour dissipate for a minimum five (5) minutes and then relight.
• Always replace the lids on the Sunjel™ Premium canisters after a cooling off period. Failure to do so will result in evaporation of the alcohol and a diminished flame height upon re-lighting.
• Always top-up your Sunjel™ Premium to the top of the holding container(s) in the Fuel Holder Box prior to re-lighting. When the gel in the holding containers is at the top, the maximum flame height will be reached sooner. You will also experience an odour if you do not top-up the alcohol gel before you light each fire, as the gel will struggle to get air.
• It is recommended to burn Sunjel™ Premium right down to the bottom of the holding containers every 2-3 fires to avoid the build up of organic thickeners. Remember to remove the organic residue with a dry utensil after each fire from the holding containers.

• Pour garantir une combustion propre et préserver la qualité de l’air, laissez TOUJOURS le couvercle de la chambre à carburant ouvert lors de l’utilisation du foyer. Ne le laissez pas partiellement ouvert pour contrôler la hauteur de la flamme. Une arrivée d’air suffisante est requise pour obtenir une combustion optimale alors n'obstruez d'aucune façon l'aire entourant la chambre à carburant. Assurez vous que les bûches de céramique ne sont pas placées directement sur la flamme.
• Refermez le grillage de chaînes.
• Vous pourrez éteindre la flamme à n’importe quel moment en tirant sur le bouton décoratif situé sous l’armature d’acier. Si votre foyer ne comprend pas d’armature, utilisez la baguette fournie et repoussez le couvercle de la boîte à carburant jusqu’à ce que son levier de maintien retombe et puis laissez tomber le couvercle. Si le gel Sunjel™ Premium vient juste d’être éteint et que vous décidiez de le rallumer, SOYEZ PRUDENT : attendez 10 minutes, ouvrez le couvercle de la chambre à carburant, laissez les vapeurs d’alcool se dissiper dans l’air pour au moins 5 minutes et puis rallumez ensuite le gel.
• Après la période de refroidissement, replacez toujours les couvercles sur les compartiments de Sunjel™ Premium. Si les compartiments ne sont pas scellés, il y aura évaporation de l’alcool ce qui résulterait en une hauteur réduite de flamme.
• Remplissez toujours les récipients de Sunjel™ Premium avant de rallumer le foyer. Une hauteur de flamme maximale sera atteinte plus rapidement lorsque les récipients seront pleins. Aussi, une odeur serait perceptible si les récipients ne sont pas remplis avant de rallumer le foyer parce que le gel n'obtiendrait pas suffisamment d'air en période de réchauffement.
• Pour prévenir l'accumulation de résidu d’épaississeur organique, il est recommandé de laisser consommer tout le carburant Sunjel™ Premium au moins à toutes les 2 ou 3 utilisations. N’oubliez pas de retirer le résidu organique des récipients de carburant avec un ustensile totalement sec après chaque utilisation du foyer.

Le système de management de la qualité du concepteur, du fabricant et de l'installateur du produit doit être dûment enregistré ISO 9001 : 2000.
Lorsque des activités de conception ou de développement font parties du contrat, l'exclusion de l'article
7.3 «Conception et développement» de la norme ISO 9001 : 2000 n'est pas acceptable pour le concepteur du produit.
Sur demande expresse du représentant d'Hydro-Québec, le fournisseur doit lui transmettre le manuel qualité, les procédures et les formulaires du système de management de la qualité du concepteur, du fabricant et de l'installateur du produit.
Hydro-Québec ou son représentant peut vérifier, en tout temps, dans les locaux du fournisseur et des sous-traitants, que les exigences contractuelles sont respectées.
Toute proposition d'utilisation, de modification ou de réparation du produit qui n'est pas conforme aux exigences contractuelles doit être présentée au représentant d'Hydro-Québec.
6. CERTIFICAT D'ENREGISTREMENT (F15)
Le fournisseur doit détenir un certificat d'enregistrement ISO émis par un régistraire accrédité à l'effet que le fabricant et le concepteur du produit satisfont aux normes de système qualité précitées.
Toute modification à leur système qualité et à leur certification doit être transmise au responsable qualité d'Hydro-Québec pendant la durée du contrat.
7. AVIS D'INTERVENTION (F18)
Toute demande d'intervention du fournisseur, en matière de contrôle de la qualité, doit être faite par écrit et transmise au représentant d'Hydro-Québec. La demande doit être faite à l'avance dans un délai raisonnable et tenant compte du lieu d'intervention. Un minimum de deux jours ouvrables est demandé pour les interventions locales. Ce délai peut être de quelques semaines pour des interventions à l'étranger.
La demande doit préciser le but, la date, le lieu de l'intervention, le numéro de la commande, le numéro du poste de la commande, le matériel à contrôler et, si applicable, son numéro de série.
Hydro-Québec assume les frais de son représentant lors des interventions. Toutefois, si les résultats du contrôle ou des essais ne rencontrent pas les exigences du client et de la commande, ou si l'intervention est retardée, les frais de reprise ou d'attente doivent être assumés par le fournisseur.
8. DOSSIER QUALITÉ (F21)
Les dossiers qualité contenant tout document et preuve objective pouvant démontrer la conformité du produit aux exigences contractuelles, doivent être conservés pour une période minimale de trois (3) ans suivant la livraison ou une période de trois (3) ans après l'expiration de la garantie, selon la plus tardive des deux dates.
Les dossiers doivent être disponibles pour consultation par Hydro-Québec ou son représentant en tout temps pendant cette période chez le fournisseur et les sous-contractants.

The Quality Management Program of each participant during the process, (design, manufacturing and installation of the product) must be an officially registered ISO 9001-2000 program.
Section 7.3 of ISO 9001-2000 standard titled “Design and Research” may only be excluded for contracts NOT involving design and research activities.
On Hydro-Québec’s representative request, the supplier shall hand over the following documents pertaining to each of the design, manufacturing and installation stages:
-QA Manual
-Procedures
-Forms
Hydro-Québec and/or its representative shall have unrestricted access to the supplier and its subcontractors’ facilities to confirm that the contract requirements are met.
For a non conforming product, all suggestions for using, modifying or repairing the product will have to be submitted to Hydro-Québec's representative.
6. ISO CERTIFICATION (F15)
The supplier must be the holder of an ISO Certification document issued by an officially registered source confirming that the designer and manufacturer of the product comply with the above mentioned Quality Assurance Standard.
Any modification to their Quality Program or Certification stage during the progress of the contract must be forwarded to Hydro-Québec’s Quality Coordinator.
7. CONTROL NOTIFICATIONS (F18)
All witnessing notifications from the supplier about the QA control points will have to be forwarded in writing to Hydro-Québec's representative. The notifications shall allow enough time to H-Q's representative according to the occurrence’s location. A minimum two working day notification warning is requested for local events and may extend to a few weeks for events occurring abroad.
The notification will have to state the intent, the date, the location, the order number, the order substation number, the equipment concerned and, if applicable, its serial number.
Hydro-Québec's representative expenses will be covered by H-Q, but, if the tests or control results do not meet the clients' order requirements or if the event is postponed, the retake or waiting expenses will be for the supplier to bear.
8. QUALITY RECORDS (F21)
The quality records comprising all documentation and objective proof documents that confirm the product’s conformance to the contract requirements must be kept for a minimum duration of three (3) years after delivery or a period of three (3) years after the warranty expiring, whichever is the later date.
The records must be available at all times for review, at the supplier and its subcontractors, by Hydro-Québec or its representative.
