Bio
I have graduated in Tourism and have a post-graduation in Translation, and I work now as a freelance translator. My main areas of expertise are video game localization and subtitling. I also have a background in education, I have given student support in the subjects of History, Portuguese, and English for several years.
I offer the services of translation, proofreading, post-edit, subtitling, and transcription and work mainly with the EN-PT language pairs. However, I'm always interested in learning new languages and perfecting the ones that I already work with. Having that in mind, I'm hoping to add new languages to my work pairs in the future.
Regarding CAT tools, I can work with Trados SDL, MemoQ, XTM, Memsource, Lokalise Spot software, Subtitle Edit, Ooona toolkit, and have experience with the Amara.org platform.
On a more personal note, some of my interests are cinema, videogames, I'm an avid reader not only of fiction or romance but also of history, social issues, and psychology. I love music and have a strong interest in all kinds of sports, especially football. I also work as a volunteer for TED, translating and subtitling talks.
