Bio

I specialise in information technology, science
and finance translations. My experience extends from freelancing and work
in a corporate language department.

Translations that I worked on include:

– IT – website content, user interfaces, hardware and
software instructions, descriptions.

– Accounting & finance – independent auditors’ opinions,
financial statements, internal documents.

– Science – research papers (chemistry EN>LT), summary
of a dissertation (electroporation LT>EN).

– Legal – audit and employment contracts, privacy
policies, terms and conditions, GDPR-related documents.

– Other notices, internal communications, product and
service descriptions, texts and documents for corporate HR, IT and legal departments;
CVs, diplomas and certifications (not certified, for internal use only).

I realised that I want to study and become a
translator while still at secondary school and never changed or doubted my
decision. My score in the final examination of Lithuanian language is
100%. [I always notice all of those grammar and especially spelling
mistakes in Lithuanian texts.]
 I graduated in Translation of
Technical Texts in Kaunas University of Technology
in 2017. Studying at
university gave me the amazing opportunity to study abroad. My choice was
the
Faculty of Translation and Interpretation at the University of
Granada
. I studied there for two autumn semesters – in 2015 and 2016. After
the arrival to Spain and meeting Spanish speaking people, I had to admit that
my knowledge in this language was really basic. Studies included general and
specialised translation from Spanish into English. After the first five months
in Granada, I felt that I must take all the opportunities that
"Erasmus+" gives,
so I got a summer internship in one of the hotels nearby Valencia. Working
there was a breakthrough and the best chance to improve my Spanish
significantly.

Currently, I study Turkish on my
own and strengthen my knowledge of Spanish.
