I graduated with a BA in Language Studies from the University of the West of England and went on to complete an MA in International Public Administration at London Metropolitan University. I then worked in the field of International Development for 6 years (with a particular focus on HIV/AIDS). I have continued to work in the voluntary sector and more recently in education, while also being a Freelance Translator for the past 11 years. I have worked mainly for international NGOs such as the International HIV/AIDS Alliance, the International Drug Policy Consortium, the International Institute for Environment and Development, Itad (Monitoring and Evaluation for International Development) and Sightsavers.
I translate technical documents and toolkits, position papers, policy documents, HR documents (staff contracts and induction manuals), quality standards, proposals and concept notes to donors (to the European Commission for example), evaluation reports, standard letters, website content etc.
I am passionate about working for charities and will go the extra mile to meet tight deadlines and to offer a reliable service at an affordable price. I am a stickler for perfection and will do my utmost to provide a high quality translation.
