Source text - English Presbyopia is a natural effect of aging in which a loss of elasticity in the lens of the eye causes far-sightedness.
As a result, your visual accommodation gradually declines, as your eyes can no longer effectively change their optical power to maintain a clear image or focus on an object as its distance varies.
The current solutions to this problem are at opposite ends of the treatment spectrum: You can either wear a pair of glasses or opt for an invasive surgical solution that could compromise the quality of your vision (Figure 1).
A novel solution developed by medical device company Kejako will provide a viable treatment that treads the middle ground between surgery and spectacles.
Their 3D parametric full-eye model is providing invaluable insights into the root cause of the eye’s degeneration over time.
As a result, Kejako is edging closer to an innovative solution that will delay the need for reading glasses or invasive surgery for over 20 years.
Kejako’s cofounder and CEO, David Enfrun, explained: “Our solution has the potential to become the next generation’s standard of care in personalized ophthalmic anti-aging medicine,” explained David Enfrun, Kejako’s cofounder and CEO.
We focus on early treatments to maintain enough capacity of visual accommodation by offering personalized anti-aging laser treatments that could give patients an additional 20 years of comfortable vision.”
Kejako’s solution is designed to treat the root causes of presbyopia and features a series of noninvasive laser eye surgeries, which are prescribed from when a patient starts to develop presbyopia until cataracts develop.

Мембранные или ионоселективные электроды (ИСЭ) – это сенсоры
(чувствительные элементы, датчики), потенциал которых линейно зависит от логарифма активности определяемого иона в растворе. ИСЭ отвечают всем основным требованиям, предъявляемым к химическим сенсорам. Это малые габариты, простота эксплуатации, обратимость процессов, возможность непрерывного измерения и автоматизированного использования.
Важнейшей частью любого ИСЭ является полупроницаемая мембрана, отделяющая внутренний раствор с постоянной концентрацией определяемого иона от анализируемого раствора. Мембрана обладает ионообменными свойствами, причем проницаемость ее к ионам разного типа различна. Translation - English Ionometry, or direct potentiometry, is a potentiometry mode with membrane ion-selective electrodes with ion conductivity as indicator electrodes.
Membrane ion-selective electrodes are sensors with their potential linearly depending on the logarithm of the target ion concentration. Ion-selective electrodes conform to all main requirements for chemical sensors: they are small, easy-to-use, reversible and allow for continuous automated measurements.
The crucial component of each ion-selective electrode is a semi-permeable membrane that separates the internal solution (with a constant target ion concentration) from the solution under investigation. The membrane is characterized by selective ion transport properties with respect to different ions. Thus, ion-selective electrodes work as analytic devices that recognize particular ions and quantify their concentration, producing a measurable electric potential. The potential is linked to the target ion concentration.
We can measure the electric potential with a galvanic cell comprised of an ion-selective electrode and a reference electrode immersed in an electrolyte.

This comprises a light aluminium roller around which the web runs, suspended between two rotating arms.
An inductive sensor that registers the distance from an eccentric disk located on the dancer roller, registers the rotation of the dancer arms.
The higher the arms with the dancer wheel are turned up, the greater the distance from the disk.
The analogue value given by the sensor is used as input value in a control loop and the output value is used to adjust the speed on the succeeding outlet nip, by means of which the position of the dancer roller is adjusted.
When the dancer roller has found its level, it will have only a limited deflection from the set point and will thereby provide a uniform web tension in the film web. This is necessary to pull as little as possible on the film web after it has been sealed, on account of the strength of the sealer, although by the same token a certain web tensioning is necessary so as to be able to guide the film webs through the machine.

Source text - Russian Определение удельной поверхности сорбентов осуществляли в соответствии со следующей методикой. Навеску образца дегазировали под вакуумом при 50 С в течение 24 часов. Анализ: Удельную площадь поверхности определяли методом адсорбции азота при температуре минус 195,75 С. Для расчета использовали теорию адсорбции БЭТ. Полученные данные приведены в таблице 1.
Определение адсорбционной активности сорбентов по бактериальному эндотоксину осуществляли в соответствии со следующей методикой. К навеске влажного гемосорбента объемом 0,5 мл добавляют 7,5 мл цельной крови, загрязненной стандартом бактериального эндотоксина (E.coli О13:Н10) до концентрации 400 ЕЭ/мл. Полученную суспензию перемешивают в течение 1 часа на вибрационном встряхивателе при 500 rpm. Кровь центрифугируют в течение 10 мин при 3500 rpm (1000 g), проводят предварительную обработку и определяют содержание
бактериального эндотоксина в образцах спектрофотометрическим методом хромогенного ЛАЛ-теста по конечной точке с использованием реагентов PYROCHROME по ОФС.1.2.4.0006.15.Бактериальные эндотоксины.
В качестве отрицательного контроля используют плазму, полученную из цельной крови, не содержащей бактериальных эндотоксинов.
Translation - English The specific surface area of the sorbents was determined with the following procedure. A sorbent sample was degassed under vacuum at 50°C for 24 hours. The specific surface area was determined by the nitrogen adsorption method at -195.75°C. BET theory was used for the calculations. The obtained data are shown in table 1.
The sorption capacity of the sorbents with respect to bacterial endotoxins was determined with the following procedure. 7.5 mL of whole blood was contaminated with a standard bacterial endotoxin (E. Coli O13:H10) sample to obtain 400 EU/mL endotoxin concentration. The contaminated blood was added to a 0.5 mL sample of wet hemosorbent. The resulting suspension was stirred for 1 hour on a vortex mixer at 500 rpm. The blood was centrifuged for 10 min at 3500 rpm (1000 g) and pre-treated. The bacterial endotoxin content was determined by the spectrophotometry of the endpoint chromogenic LAL assays, using the PYROCHROME reagents, according to OFS (Russian pharmacopoeia standards) ‘1.2.4.0006.15 Bacterial endotoxins’.
Plasma from the whole blood with no bacterial endotoxins was used as a negative control sample.
