Source text - English At 7:30 a.m., Controller, Sarah Willis, stared at subsidiary financial reports on one of three monitors on her desk. She needed the opportunity to stretch, as well as a few moments away from the financial analysis she was preparing. After a protracted period of staring at her monitor, the numbers were beginning to run together, and turning to mush in her brain. Sarah’s blond hair and blue eyes framed a radiant smile. Though not Hollywood model gorgeous, Sarah was attractive and compelling. As she made her way down the hall to the communal coffeemaker, Sarah observed that the offices around her were slowly transitioning from ghostly quiet, to active, as early birds began to arrive. She poured a cup of coffee, and then walked back to her office. One of her two Assistant Controllers, Melissa Carter, was removing her coat and getting settled in the office next door to Sarah’s.
Translation - Spanish A las 7:30 a.m., la auditora Sarah Willis, observaba los informes financieros en uno de los tres monitores de su escritorio. Necesitaba una oportunidad para estirarse, además de alejarse por un rato del análisis financiero que estaba preparando. Después de mirar el monitor por un prolongado periodo de tiempo, los números comenzaban a mezclarse y a volverse un enredo en su cabeza. El cabello rubio y los ojos azules enmarcaban la radiante sonrisa de Sarah. Aunque no era hermosa como una modelo de Hollywood, Sarah era atractiva y cautivadora. En su caminata por corredor hacia la máquina de café común comenzó a observar cómo las oficinas que la rodeaban iban pasando lentamente de un silencio fantasmal a cobrar vida a medida que llegaban sus ocupantes madrugadores. Se sirvió una taza de café, y caminó de regreso a su oficina. Melissa Carter, una de sus dos asistentes contables, estaba quitándose el abrigo y acomodándose en la oficina vecina a la de Sarah.

Source text - Spanish Las fases ejecutadas para realizar la presente fueron diagnosticar la situación actual del proceso de almacenaje y distribución de rutas, cuyo resultado fue que existe escasa comunicación entre los departamentos y poco seguimiento de la gestión en dichos departamentos perjudicando el servicio al cliente, posteriormente, definir el plan de mejora al proceso de almacenaje y distribución de rutas, a través del diseño de indicadores de gestión para los procesos en estudio así como los formatos para la recolección la data para la aplicación de estos , por último, elaborar el análisis de viabilidad de la solución propuesta, a través de la razón costo beneficio que resulto 11,06 para mejorar la gestión de los departamentos estudiados lo que repercute positivamente en todo el proceso productivo de la empresa y así mejorar el servicio al cliente a través de la puntualidad en los tiempos de entrega, lo que se logró mediante el desarrollo de la propuesta.

Translation - English The phases of this study were: first, the diagnosis of the current storage and supply distribution process, whose conclusion was that there is a lack of communication among departments and little control of the management of the aforementioned departments, what damages the customer service. Second, the definition of the storage process´ and distribution networks´ improvement plan through the design of management indicators for the studied process as well as formats for data collection for the application of the indicators. Third, the elaboration of a feasibility study of the proposed solution through the reason cost-benefit that resulted in 11.06. This means the proposal would improve the management of the studied departments, have a positive effect on the entire productive process of the company and in this way upgrade the customer service through punctuality in delivery time.
