Bringing the skill set of a musician to my language services


Musicians translate all the time – from a written musical “language” to an audible “language”. They are also keenly aware of flow and patterns. Add to that the discipline required to practice hours on end, and the attention to detail necessary to properly interpret a composer’s intentions, and you have not only a recipe for an excellent musician, but an excellent language professional as well.

I have been a performing musician all my life, both in the United States and during my 30 years living in Switzerland. In recent years my focus has shifted more and more to language-based services – (German-English) translation, proofreading and copy-editing. I am highly detail-oriented, a research fanatic, and a perfectionist. Keeping deadlines is also very important to me. I truly see what I do as a service, and client satisfaction is my top priority.
