Bio
My name is Evy Johanne Willis. I was born and raised in Norway, lived in Germany for 9 years and live in the US since 2008. I hold two masters degree in law, one from Bergen, Norway (MAJUR) and one from Heidelberg, Germany (Magister, LL.M), with emphasis on international asylum law. I have worked at the international law institute Max Planck Institute of Comparative Public Law and International Law in Heidelberg, Germany, and have taught Law studies in a upper secondary school in Norway, and briefly also taught German in lower secondary school. I have interpreted at church services in the second largest church in Norway and have led Bible study groups in Norwegian, German and English, and often did interpreting within the groups as well.
I started translating in 2015, while also being a Substitute Teacher with Murfreesboro City Schools, Tennessee, US, where I set my own schedule. This flexibility allows me to be available for both short and long term translation projects.
