My first language is Hungarian closely followed in terms of fluency and accuracy by English. I am married to a Scotsman and we live in Australia, raising two children.
I am an enthusiastic linguist with a master's degree in Applied Linguistics from a reputed Australian university. (Univeristy of New England, NSW) I also have a passion for translation, editing and proofreading, teaching and training.
Having lived in 7 countries for between 1 to 20 years at a time I pride myself in being able to easily relate to people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
I believe in lifelong learning and I do a lot of research and training in my two primary working languages, Hungarian and English. I am also fluent in Romanian and somewhat fluent in French. While living in Japan I picked up Japanese conversational skills as well.
I regularly participate in Personal Development sessions at the Edith Cowan University in Perth, Australia where I am currently registered as a sessional academic staff member. |
