Experience
Years of experience: 12. Registered at ProZ.com: Mar 2015.
I am an experienced translator with a passion for language. Having lived in a number of different countries, I have experienced first-hand the importance of bridging cultures, and in my translations I aim to deliver just that: a bridge between cultures.
I was honoured to translate and self-publish the memoirs of the great German merchant and entrepreneur Ignaz Bing. Since then, I have worked for numerous clients, including publishers, companies across a number of industries, PR agencies, magazines and private individuals.
My first published translation was Jennifer Teege’s New York Times best-seller "My Grandfather Would Have Shot Me" (The Experiment, 2015).
I am a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists and the Translators Association. I have a BA (Hons) in Applied Languages as well as a German degree in translating (Diplom-Übersetzer).
I also transcribe and translate letters and documents written in Suetterlin, the old German script that was in use until 1941.
