I am a native English speaker, born in the United States and a CHI certified Spanish medical interpreter with 12 years of hospital experience in several departments including EMT work in a level one trauma center emergency room, hospital registration and administration and in the interpreter services department. I spent several years living and working in Guadalajara Mexico where I worked professionally in education as an English language teacher for children all the way from Kindergarten to 5th grade and also adults and interpreting for clients to facilitate communication between international business partners. When I moved back to the United States I began work as a Spanish teacher for grades 1st to 8th in Minnesota. Most recently my experience in education has been as a contract Spanish interpreter in schools during school conferences. My passion for language lead me to complete a degree in Spanish and Portuguese from the University of Minnesota and begin working as a volunteer interpreter/translator for the Center for New Americans and a professional interpreter in several agencies and hospitals in the area. My real passion lies in interpreting and translating medical documents and procedures and serving the new immigrant community by translating vital documents and immigration paperwork. I look forward to traveling to the border soon to serve the immigrant population crossing the border from Mexico into the United States. I offer a competitive rate and would love to have the opportunity to serve you and translate your documents or to offer you interpretation services and facilitate communication between you and your clients. I have many years in interpretation experience and where I lack in years of professional translation experience, I make up for in my passion for my profession, accuracy, professionalism and punctuality. I look forward to working with you soon! |
