Hello and welcome to my profile. I am a degree-qualified freelance translator from the Barcelona area in Spain, living in the UK since 2001.
I am a native speaker of both Spanish and Catalan, having grown up in a bilingual household. My level of English is near-native (thanks to many years of study and many more of full language and culture immersion) and I can confidently translate into it, too.
In recent years I have almost exclusively worked as an audiovisual translator, which I very much enjoy. This is a field I am looking to expand my experience in.
However, my translation work history is diverse. Projects translated as part of my degree and beyond have covered travel, food, cybersecurity, cinema, press freedom, literature, healthcare, market research, the environment and social media – while my earlier career in financial shared services stands me in good stead to translate business and commerce-related content.
