Born and raised in the French-speaking part of Switzerland, near Lausanne, I am currently based in France, where I work as a freelance English/Spanish to French translator.
My education includes:
- Bachelor in Multilingual Communication from the University of Geneva, English and Spanish into French (2011)
- M.Phil. in Literary Translation from Trinity College Dublin (2013)
- MA in translation, orientation translation technologies from the University of Geneva, Faculty of Translation and Interpretation (2020)
I have worked as a freelance translator from 2014 to 2016, and then went back to university to get my Master's degree in Translation/Translation technologies. While studying, I interned as a terminologist at the United Nations (Geneva) for two months (2017), and then at the International Committee of the Red Cross as a terminologist/CAT tools support associate for a year (Feb. 2018 to Feb. 2019).
At the end of my internship, I went back to freelancing to be able to carry on working with the ICRC as a translator while writing my Master's dissertation intitled "Processing and managing neologisms: a study of the practices used in international organisations". In January 2020, I defended my dissertation and thus completed my Master's degree. I have been working exclusively as a freelance translator since then.
