I am a former Australian lawyer. I moved to legal translating when I discovered that I preferred working with documents and foreign languages. My translating career in multi-national law firms and has moved to freelancing in the last few years. In addition to my legal qualifications, I also hold a Masters in Finance.

My current business is mainly based on Japanese to English legal and finance documents, including contracts, judgments, rules and regulations, shareholder documents, litigation documents, IPO documents, etc. I have worked with many of the biggest companies in the world. Due to my interest in, and experience living and working, in Japan, I have a deep understanding of the Japanese corporate mindset and endeavor to render that mindset into accurate and natural English.

I also translate from simplified Chinese into English. Utilizing my Chinese background and experience working as a lawyer in a Chinese law firm, I am able to deliver translations that accurately reflect the original. I have abundant experience transalating documents for international deals and litigation with Chinese companies.

When I am not translating, I am training for triathlons, writing detective novels, and playing with my dogs.
