English to Spanish: Vintage 2004 General field: Other Detailed field: Wine / Oenology / Viticulture
Source text - English VINTAGE 2004
62% Pinot Noir - 8% Pinot Meunier - 30% Chardonnay
An exclusive blend of about twenty Grands and Premiers Crus
Dosage: 7g/l
In 1810, Madame Clicquot broke new ground by creating the first vintage known in
Champagne, a cuvee made up of grapes from one single harvest that was considered
exceptionally good.
Vintage 2004, the House's 64th vintage, is a perfect opportunity to pay tribute to Roger
Zèches, Cellar Master from 1941 to 1969. Born on 7 August 1904, he took over from his
father and left his indelible mark on the post war vintages. The 1904 harvest was abundant
for the time and proved one of the best of the early 20th century. History may or may not
repeat itself, but these two cuvees, separated by exactly a century, owe their beginnings to
similarly beneficial conditions.
THE 2004 HARVESTING
The exceptionally fine weather conditions in September allowed the abundant crop of grapes
to ripen beautifully. So between 23 September and 13 October, we harvested some very fine grapes in excellent conditions of health.
The Pinot Noir wines are fruity and full-bodied; the Chardonnay wines show a lot of distinction, and the Pinots Meunier wines add a touch of gourmandise.
A BREATH OF FRESH SPRING AIR
The wine has a luminous, brilliant gold colour.
The fine bubbles rise delicately, forming a chain of little beads before gently disappearing.
The initial bouquet is elegant, opening on to aromas of crunchy fresh fruit (bush peach), citrus fruit and a mineral touch that comes from our chalky soils. The notes of violet and lilac are reminiscent of spring fragrances, and later on, notes of a more "bready" style, (hazelnut,
crystallised quince, fresh butter) gradually take over.
TASTING MOMENTS
This wine can be served as part of a cocktail dinner or as an accompaniment to freshwater
fish (pikeperch, arctic char or eel for example) or shellfish (crayfish, langoustines). Meat eaters will appreciate a delicious cushion of veal with crisp vegetables.
Serve at 10 - 12°C, can be drunk now and up to 2020 .

Pinot Noir 62% - Pinot Meunier 8% - Chardonnay 30%
