More than 60 crore people within and outside India can speak, read and write in Hindi. Major population in Fiji, Mauritius, Guyana, Surinam and a relatively less number in Nepal speaks Hindi. It is steadily progressing to become a world language after having climbed the rungs of being a language of the nation and states, and a language of the masses.

Experience
Years of experience: 9. Registered at ProZ.com: Sep 2014.
My decision to become a full-time translator has been driven by my passion for literature, languages, and linguistics. I took it up, nonchalantly, while pursuing my Bachelor's in Literature, and have been active in the field of commercial translation since then. I also worked under the Content Quality Management wing in a reputed company 3dphy for a while, but kept myself involved in the translation work, in one way or the other.
My inclination towards music and my constantly scrounging for world music and cinema, over the years, has also helped me learn the style, subtle nuances and vocabulary of the English language. Being a native Hindi speaker hailing from the foothills of Himalayas, I'm well-versed in Hindi as well and my long experience in this field has helped me possess a sound understanding of technical terminology.
'Striving towards adding value, being valued and furthering my linguistic skills.'
