I have been working as a freelance translator since 2007.
Off-homeland language experience:
I spent a year in London, England after I finished my studies (2000-2001), and 6 months in the USA (Saint Louis, Mo, and near Modesto, Ca) during my high-school years (1993-1994).
While translating I most importantly focus on communication getting through to the receiver thus ensuring best quality work.
Software: For translation I use LibreOffice and OmegaT with Linux but I can handle all common Windows files as well. The end file is always saved according to the convenience of the client, and will look like the original document if not preferred otherwise.
