English to Spanish: Lithic industry of Barranco León
Source text - English Here we present the morphotechnical analysis of the lithic assemblage from Barranco León. The goal of this paper is to define the lithic industry and the knapping strategy carried out by the hominids at this site. These data will help us to better define a possible occupation model.
Lithic industry from Barranco León belongs to Mode 1 and can be contextualized within the first human occupations of the European continent more than one million years ago, along with other sites such as Sima del Elefante (Atapuerca, Spain), Pont-de-Lavaud and Le Vallonet (France); Pirro Nord and Monte Poggiolo (Italy).
Materials
The lithic assemblage belongs to Level D of Barranco León, and it is composed by 237 lithic artifacts unearthed during the 2005 excavation campaign. The present analysis was performed as a first approach to a greater lithic assemblage.
Methodology
The lithic assemblage was analyzed following the parameters established in the Logical Analytical System, and allows each object to be located at a specific moment of the operative sequence of lithic production.

Hi! My name is Lara. I am a translator specialised in International Relations, History and Archaeology, and Primatology.
I have two college degrees (History and Translation) and I have recently completed a Masters in International Relations. This is why I feel particularly proud of the translations I made on those fields: I have worked for universities such as UNED and UCM and research centres such as CSIC and MONA.
On the other hand, I am a bit of a compulsive reader and I have been honoured with a few literary awards and publications myself. Thus, translating literature is my other great passion.
I travel a lot, and I love it. In my free time (which is pretty scarce) I usually play piano or one of my several ukuleles.
