Source text - English AccessBank Tajikistan successfully completes its first capital increase to support future growth
AccessBank Tajikistan is pleased to announce the successful completion of a share issue for the amount of TJS 15 million (ca. USD 3.1 million). This step was taken in order to strengthen the capital base of the bank and to support the bank’s future growth. As a result, the paid-up capital of the bank now stands at TJS 63 million (ca. USD 13.2 million), whereby the majority shareholder AccessHolding Microfinance AG has increased its stake to 63.3% from previously 52%.
Ms. Katharina Schachtner, General Manager of AccessBank Tajikistan, commented on the occasion: “We welcome the capital increase and the confidence and support shown to us by our investors. In three years of strong growth we have extended more than 20,000 loans to Tajik entrepreneurs and built up a loan portfolio of more than TJS 143 million (USD 30 million). This capital injection will enable us to continue the strong growth of our bank’s business in the years to come, and we will work to reach more and more customers in the regional cities of Tajikistan.”

Source text - English Hotel was very modern and clean One receptionist was very nice and spoke very good English; others spoke little English Decor was perhaps a little too modern in the way that it looked fab but was a bit impractical e.g. we kept bumping our heads on the huge bulbous lights hanging from the ceiling to midway down the room, the shower and sinks were too stylish and not practical enough The beds were very comfy and even though we were on quite a busy street our room was quiet and our curtains helped to block out light, for a peaceful sleep However the area of the hotel was not as nice as other parts of Nice (no pun intended). It seemed to be poorer and we saw several tramps and drunks walking around. It was much further away from Vieux Nice and Promenade des Anglais than we anticipated although one good thing was that it was close to (one street away from) Nice Riqiuer train station, and the tram service was also basically at the end of the street towards the "Acropolis". This helped us to get round much more easily than we would have if we'd had to walk everywhere. There were restaurants and cafes close by but most of the action was a tram ride away in Vieux Nice. It was right opposite Carrefour and a large shopping centre which was nice for a browse and handy for buying groceries. We had a small Smeg cooking hob, a microwave, etc so you could rustle up a decent bit of food, something we recommend because eating and drinking out is very expensive. Utensils were provided and there was a fridge and storage cupboards etc. Rooms are cleaned once every 2 days which wasnt great for us - we would have liked to at least see our bins emptied every day. Dont bother with breakfast - its just a small table of e.g. cheese and salami, only provided for French tastes. And its expensive. Go opposite to the Carrefour to get your own cereal, milk, bread, eggs, etc. Pool was basically a "pond". It was just like a 3m by 3m thing for cooling off in if the weather was hot. Which it wasnt.

Source text - English Session 1: The Communication Process (20 min)
This session aims at giving an overview of communication and the basic communication process emphasizing three dimensions: congruent, effective and constructive communication.
By the end of the session, participants should be able to define the concepts of congruent, effective and constructive communication.
Activity: Flipchart
This activity is based on interaction between trainer and participants. It aims at developing and summarizing the essential characteristics of communication by helping participants to structure their existing knowledge and experience by emphasizing particular points and adding new aspects.
Together with the group, the trainer extracts the participants’ existing knowledge on the topic of communication by asking the following questions: What is communication? How do we communicate? What is “good” communication? What do you understand by congruent, effective and constructive communication (see slide).
The trainer gathers the ideas on the flipchart and constructs the basic model of the communication process together with the participants. When participants are trapped and do not have any more answers, ask more concrete questions or introduce some points.
Key Messages
• Behavior is a central element of communication. Actions and in-actions send strong messages, which can even be more influential than what we say.
• Communication does not take place in a vacuum, but is influenced by our past relationships and influences the nature of our future relationships in a long-term. Therefore, communication has two dimensions: task dimension and relationship dimension.
• ‘Good’ communication is congruent (what is being said matches what is being done), effective (outcome matches intention) and constructive (establishes/preserves positive relationships). To establish an effective and constructive communication process, we need to elicit feedback from our conversation partner, hence, the sender becomes the receiver and vice versa.

Эта сессия нацелена на то, чтобы дать представление о коммуникации и базовом процессе коммуникации, делая упор на три измерения: конгруэнтную, эффективную и конструктивную коммуникацию.

Основные выводы
• Поведение - центральный элемент коммуникации. Действия и бездействие отправляют сильные сигналы, которые могут иметь даже больше влияния, чем наши слова.
• Коммуникация не происходит в вакууме, а подвергается влиянию наших прежних отношений и влияет на природу наших будущих взаимоотношений в долгосрочной перспективе. Следовательно, у коммуникации есть две стороны: сторона задачи и сторона отношений.
• "Хорошая" коммуникация конгруэнтна (слово совпадает с делом), эффективна (результат совпадает с целью) и конструктивна (устанавливает/сохраняет хорошие отношения). Source text - English The most famous and used method to get new ideas is the brainstorm. Brainstorm in its most primitive form simply means that everyone shouts out their ideas, associations and thoughts on a certain subject. Within Loesje, we choose most of the time for brainwriting: brainstorming on paper. Advantages are that it is less chaotic, and you can discuss more subjects or different aspects of one subject at the same time. Some basic rules for brainstorming, in any form :
1. Try to collect as many ideas as possible. The more ideas you’ve got, the higher the chance that there are some really useful ideas amongst them.
2. Postpone criticism. For a good brainstorm, it is essential that you decide that ideas mentioned aren’t directly criticized or judged (“that doesn’t make sense”, “that’s not realistic”). Criticism kills creativity.
3. React on eachother. The advantage of the collective brainstorm is that you can be inspired by the ideas of others. Of course you can put forward your own ideas, but by working out and elaborating on other people’s ideas, the best plans can be created as well.
4. The weirder and wilder the ideas, the better. Lots of people are bothered by this inner voice telling them to quit when they’ve got another wild idea. Ask this voice to shut up. Because weird ideas most of the time turn out to be the most inspiring and definitely useful.
Four rules, that might seem quite logical, bur are ignored an awful lot of times. The dominant meeting-
culture is one of getting to conclusions as fast as possible and in which wild ideas don’t stand a chance. This also explains the success of this kind of creative writing workshop. At last, everyone gets the chance to say something, there is space for all ideas and it’s much more fun than an average boring meeting. With the brainwriting method, you’ve already got the basic of getting great ideas. But there are more methods that you can use. One of them, we’ve called “ACCESS” and is an abbreviation for Associating, Comparing, Contradicting, Exaggerating, Stimulating and Suggesting.
Associating :
Think of as many words as possible connected to the subject. What connotations might the word have, what do you associate it with, what feeling do you get with it, what does it mean to you.
Contradict :
Turn your subject upside down, look for a contradiction in your subject, make aspects that are considered weak, strong and the other way around.
Compare :
Compare the subject or idea, that might be quite unknown to you or to other people, with something that is well-known. Clarify the meaning of your subject, or the consequences it might have.
Exaggerate :
Make your subject or the things it implies, ten times as big; a slight drizzle becomes a hurricane, a kiss an affair.
Stimulate :
Motivate people into taking action. Tickle their thoughts, their sense of adventure by showing them how easy or rewarding dong something unusual might be.
Suggest :
Create an impression, use words with different meaning. Make people think about what they read, and think about what it implies and what its actual meaning might be.
Well, that’s just to give you an impression of techniques that might be used for creative writing. But the most important of course is to think positive, keep an open mind and just get started. Once you’ve been taken by the stream, you just dive into it.

В своей наиболее примитивной форме он означает, что каждый высказывает свои идеи, ассоциации и мысли по определённому вопросу. В рамках Loesje, мы тратим большую часть времени на brainwriting, брейнсторминг на бумаге. Эта модификация метода имеет ряд преимуществ: обсуждение становится менее хаотичным, и вы можете рассматривать большее число тем или различных аспектов одного и того же вопроса за то же время. Для мозгового штурма в любой его форме характерны следующие несколько правил:

Четыре правила, кажущиеся очевидными и логичными, что, однако, не мешает постоянно забывать о них. Общепринятая культура совещаний предполагает достижение результатов в максимально сжатые сроки, и при этом дикие и фантастические идеи просто не имеют ни малейшего шанса. Во многом этим и объясняется успех творческого text writing, где каждый получает возможность высказаться, и принимаются все идеи, причём это гораздо более увлекательно, чем среднестатистическое скучное совещание. Используя метод brainwriting, вы сразу проходите половину пути к появлению великолепных идей. Но существуют и другие методы. Один из них мы назвали ACCESS (буквально: доступ); эта аббревиатура расшифровывается: Associating, Comparing, Contradicting, Exaggerating, Stimulating and Suggesting, - т.е. Ассоциирование, Сравнение, Возражение, Преувеличение, Побуждение и Предложение.
Ассоциируйте:

Преувеличивайте:
Представьте вашу тему и связанные с ней явления в десять раз большими, чем они есть на самом деле; мелкий дождик перерастает в ураган, поцелуй – в роман.
Побуждайте:
Подтолкните людей к действиям. Пробудите их мысли, их тягу к приключениям, показывая им, насколько несложным и благодарным занятием могут быть какие-то непривычные для них поступки и действия.
Предлагайте:
Позаботьтесь о первом ярком впечатлении, которое оставит ваш слоган. Используйте слова с разными значениями. Заставьте людей задуматься над тем, что они читают, и о том, какие причины и последствия это может иметь.
Надеемся, что это позволило вам хотя бы создать общее представление о техниках, применяемых в text writing. Но, конечно, важнее всего – мыслить позитивно, быть открытым – и просто сделать первый шаг. Стоит вам нырнуть в поток, как он вас подхватит, и вам останется просто плыть по течению.
English to German: Call for volunteers General field: Marketing Detailed field: Advertising / Public Relations
Source text - English We are looking for a german-speaking volunteer to join the Communi-action Project!
The concept of the project is to create EU4YOUTH POINTS in Berlin, Germany and Koper, Slovenia - two points that serve as an education-information-creative space for youth who wants to learn more about EU, youth in EU, NGO's, human rights and/or actively participate and create. The EU4YOUTH points will have three simultaneous functions: reading spot, creative-reflective spot and networking spot. Here Loesje creative text writing workshops, exhibitions and other activities will take place.
We would like someone that can work with us for the entire duration of the project (from March until December 2012) but we also welcome people who could join for a shorter period. This collaboration can also be done under a college internship in case you are a student.
TASKS:
- Help organising the EU4YOUTH point in Berlin
- Give out Loesje workshops
- Promote events and provide information to the youth at the info point

I am a Russian native speaker living in Germany with a bachelor's degree in Business Management and German Studies which I acquired at the University of Potsdam.
I grew up in St.-Petersburg and moved to Berlin at the age of 20. Throughout my live I have been fascinated with languages and linguistics, and this interest made me choose German as my minor at the university.
During the past few years I was working in an international environment where translating and interpreting as well as communication in 4 languages (Russian, English, German and Dutch) was part of my everyday work. Parallel to that I was taking translation jobs on a freelance basis. Now I decided to shift my focus and became a full-time freelancer.
In my translation work I put a great value on paying attention to the nuances of the original while keeping the end text easily readable, flowing and natural.
My work is a big and important part of my life but I also find time for my two cats, singing in a choir and activities in Loesje, an international creative text-writing organisation.
