Jenny Nävås Freelance Translator with SEO experience

I have a passion for languages and linguistics. The dream of becoming a translator was not a dream I had from some early years.

I started studying linguistics in 2010 and went on with studies in German 2011-2012, and English 2012-2013 which led to a Bachelor's degree in 2013. Right from the start I knew I wanted to work as a translator and decided to apply for the Translator Master's Programme at the University of Gothenburg. In June 2015 i got my degree Master of Arts in Translation.

During my studies I have been assigned translation projects in the field of heating and plumbing. In June 2014 I started to work as a Freelance Translator. In February 2015 I had a translation project for a large technical services provider company in the field of heating and plumbing for nuclear plants. The work included translation and proofreading of 12 000 words technical text, from English to Swedish.

Since October 2014 I have also been working as a translator and content creator at the SEO company GOMO Group in Gothenburg. My responsibilities include translation, writing and proofreading of blog texts, meta tags and AdWords texts for SEO and marketing purposes. The clients are companies from a wide range of industries, from finance and education to construction and packaging industry. This has given me a broad knowledge from different fields and great researching skills. I have also earned knowledge in SEO and online marketing during my time at the company.
