After having spent seven years in Australia while validating a Masters in International Business, I had the opportunity to meet the local economic demand through the nomination of the translator position which was part of a list drawn by the Australian Immigration, say, the S.O.L. list (Skills Occupation List). To be eligible for the permanent residency, and on top of the aforementioned criterion, my degree had to include an international dimension and to meet some legal aspects, which was the case. I was therefore fulfilling all the conditions to be able to work full time as a translator as well as to apply for the permanent residency. This was one my objectives while I was starting to get settled downunder.
Now back on the old continent, I would like to carry on that translation project and be able to demonstrate as well as display the range of skills and services I can provide, say, editing/proofreading, translation, websites and software localisation and post-editing.
I’m now currently working on a book proofreading project, written by Geshe Michael Roach & Lama Christien Mc Nally, “The Diamond Cutter”.
Some samples of this work as well as other field of interests related translations will soon be posted.
